The Infectious voice of Liya
The music industry have recently given us young talents who ate making wave in the industry.
I could remember when I first heard the voice of Niniola, it was magical.
I had to check the internet and got alot of her song because her voice was just the plug.
The next time I heard of such a sweet voice is that of tiwa Savage and Simi.
since the DMW Boss Davido signed liya we all were waiting to see what she can deliver.
In a super market, I heard something like su su su su suliyat oh, (lol).
the voice was so Infectious that I had to meet the girl playing the song to know who have the voice
she simply said “go and download Melo by liya” couldn’t waste any time than to download it immediately.
I have seen alot young female artist who have great voice but can’t compose a nice song but liya don’t only have the voice, she has nice lyrics.
The unique construct of the name, Liya probably draws more than a few queries.
so we gave in to our curiosity and just as we were trying to ask we saw an interview with Fuze TV.
she explained how the name came to be “Liya came from my real name suliyat and that’s what I said in my song”
LITTLE PROFILE OF LIYA
Abdulsalam suliyat was born and brough up in Lagos state.
she graduated from the university of Ilorin where she studied linguistics (Yoruba) she started up her music career in 2019.
Prior to signing a record deal with Davido Music Worlwide, Yes Liya was managed by Vanessa Onyinye Okoye.
However, in October 2020, Davido announced the signing of Yes Liya to his record label.
Yes Liya have have released series of songs since her career in 2019. Some of het songs are;
Be My Vibe
In December 2020, Yes Liya released her first single under DMW records.
Her first single was “Melo”. Which turned out to be one of the best songs 2020 and still moving in 2021
